My name is James Thomas Clark, and I live in a small town about 20 miles west of Akron, Ohio. I was born in November of 1968, and met my wife at our church and got married in January of 1998, and I have a 18 yr. old stepson.
I have played music for the Lord my entire life, since a family
friend gave me a bass guitar and amp when I was 14 years old. I
play the acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and drums, and
have done so in numerous worship bands in churches. Although I
play all of these instruments, I would have to say my strong point is
my voice. God has given me an incredible ear for music and the
voice to sing it. I am amazed with the songs that have been on my
heart in the recent years. I have reached a point in my life, where I
have to sing them and put them down on paper to share with
everyone.
I was a member of a band named "Distant Thunder" from 1988 to
- I was the lead vocalist for the group. We had several tapes
out at the time and played out alot. We had offers from RCA,
Enigma, and Capitol, but the other members were not comitted
enough to keep it going, so nothing became of it.
I was also involved in several simular projects from 1990 to 1994
in which we performed in many large clubs, high schools,
audortoriums, and churches. We also recorded at well known
studios in the area.
For the last six years, I have spent hours a day devoting time to
molding my music and singing, to create a style all my own. I have
been very successful in the last year at coming up with what I
believe to be, hit songs. Since I own my own business and my life
is in order, it seems only right, to dive in and put everything I have
into being what I feel I have meant to be my whole life.
I want to spread the good news of Jesus Christ through my music.
If it weren't for Him, I wouldn't have the talent and gifts He has
given me. My music is the type that you don't have to have the
same beliefs as I do, and you still want to listen to it and hear more.
